Post-graduate in European Law (Paris), Mickaël is a former agent with the Luxembourg and French Data Protection Authorities (CNPD & CNIL). He also previously gained experience as in-house counsel in the French branch of a pharma group. Post-graduate from the well-known CEIPI, Claire joined from the IP, Communication & Technology practice of the largest Luxembourg law firm. She combines 9 years-experience in IP & IT, including as in trademark attorney firm where she started her career.

12.9.2017: Luxembourg publishes bill No 7184 to amend the current data protection legislation to make it compliant with GDPR. This bill aims at reinforcing the investigation and sanction powers of the Luxembourg Data Protection Authority (CNPD). It also takes some options for specific processing in the field of research, healthcare and freedom of speech where GDPR lets some room to Member States. 31 August 2016: Luxembourg simplifies the regime applicable to certain acts of data protection processing, in particular ‘monitoring’ and combination of data. When adopted, this reform will replace the prior authorization regime with a simple notification to CNPD, the Luxembourg data protection authority.
