12.9.2017: Luxembourg publishes bill No 7184 to amend the current data protection legislation to make it compliant with GDPR. This bill aims at reinforcing the investigation and sanction powers of the Luxembourg Data Protection Authority (CNPD). It also takes some options for specific processing in the field of research, healthcare and freedom of speech where GDPR lets some room to Member States. At this stage, the restrictive legal framework applicable to the monitoring of employees is not repealed. Don't hesitate to contact us for any questions.
