Katia Manhaeve joins /c law
/c law is very happy to announce the arrival of new partner Katia Manhaeve, a leading expert in intellectual property and related matters with 25+ years experience.
Her practice covers the whole spectrum of IP issues including trademarks, copyright, domain names, patents, designs, software and databases.
Katia’s broad experience also includes commercial and distribution agreements, questions on trade practices, advertising, product compliance, consumer protection, life sciences, media and e-commerce.
She regularly assists clients on privacy and data protection matters, in particular on all aspects of the GDPR.
Next to advisory work, contractual drafting and negotiation she has a very strong track record as a litigator, both before the Luxembourg courts and the courts of the European Union.
A former partner and head of practice in a Magic Circle law firm, Katia is experienced in working on both international and local matters and has assisted clients in diverse sectors including general retail, e-commerce, finance, creative industries, food and beverage, industrial components, FMCG, fashion, pharma and life sciences. Katia has been consistently ranked as a top IP practitioner by legal directories and has for many years been an active member of different national and international professional associations.
She currently presides the Luxembourg chapter of AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights) and is a designated member of the Benelux Council for Intellectual Property.
